BGC Olds and Area acknowledges that the Town of Olds is situated on the traditional territories of the people of the Treaty 7 Region of Alberta, which includes the Blackfoot Confederacy (the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai First Nations), as well as the Tsuut’ina First Nation and the Stoney Nakoda (the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nations). This area is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3. BGC Canada’s mission statement is to provide safe, supportive places where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships, and develop confidence and skills for life. We recognize that these values are impossible to attain without the ongoing guidance and partnership with Indigenous peoples.
